BREAKING: Europæisk atomudslip? Myndigheder siger ingen fare (Blogger: Som jeg har nævnt hele tiden -- Fukushima -- Den eneste mulige årsag til at Beredskabsstyrelsen, har fået lov til at sige noget, er fordi det rygtes, at Rusland står bag en fjendtlig Atomprøvesprængning (politisk propaganda).. Selvom Rusland er involveret, så får vi aldrig sandheden, at vide, ellers går folk i panik.. Men min konklusion, må ikke stå alene, undersøg, selv sagen.. Vi kan bare konstatere, at Fukushima-udslippet svarede til 168 Hiroshimabomber.. Vi ved også, at radioaktivt udslip fra Fukushima kan måles i vandet ved det japanske hav (en selvfølge), Nordamerika (californiske kystlinje) Hawaii og hele vejen op til Canada og videre til Europa. Vi snakker om over 300 tons radioaktivt materiale strømmer ud i Stillehavet, hver dag. Folk har rapporteret symptomer på strålingsforgiftning, men Californiens sundhedsmyndigheder står ved deres holdning, at der ikke er nogen alvorlige risici for borgerne. De radioaktive elementer, der er til stede i Californien er; jod, radioaktive isotoper af cæsium-134 og cæsium-137, som forbliver i miljøet i otte dage, to år og 30 år, henholdsvis. Forskerne mener, at 80 procent af cæsium kommer fra nedfald via regnvejr. Cæsium 137, hvis levetid er 30 år, er blevet opdaget på 60 millioner Bq pr kubikmeter i farvandene på den Japans kyst. Dette er et niveau af radioaktivitet som forårsager reproduktiv og sundhedsmæssige effekter i havdyr. Isbjørne, hvalrosser og sæler oplever åbne sår og manglende områder af hår, og strålingen skaber kaos i økosystemerne i Stillehavet. Californien kunne nå "Ground Zero", Fukushima, som bærer hovedbyrden af den stråling båret af Stillehavets jetstrøm. I 2012 bestilte den amerikanske regering 14 millioner piller kaliumiodid, som er et supplement, der bekæmper strålingens opbevaring i skjoldbruskkirtlen. Alligevel er borgerne i Japan i en endnu større risiko, med den japanske regering lægger mundkurv- og nægter finansieringen til forskere, der forsøger at rapportere reelle fakta om niveauet af radioaktiv forurening på Fukushima. Uanset hvad, er det ikke det sidste vi hører og vil blive observeret, og selvom Californien sidder over 8.000 km væk fra den japanske kystlinjen, kan det i sidste ende blive "ground zero" for den næste store bølge af stråling fra Fukushima.. Nu er man begyndt at snakke om, at Rusland har tilladt atomprøvesprængning ved den arktiske cirkel.. Men det virker som om, at det internationale beredskab rundt om i verden, har fået mundkiurv på.. Små mængder radioaktivt jod konstateret


I løbet af januar blev der flere steder i Europa konstateret et let forhøjet niveau af radioaktivt jod (I-131) i atmosfæren. Det er ganske uskadeligt, understreger Beredskabsstyrelsens nukleare beredskab.


16-02-2017 - kl. 10:40 Det let forhøjede niveau af radioaktivt jod (I-131) blev i løbet af januar konstateret i flere europæiske lande, herunder Finland, Norge, Tyskland, Polen, Tjekkiet, Frankrig og Spanien.

De målte mængder er ganske uskadelige. Det understreger Steen Hoe fra Beredskabsstyrelsens nukleare beredskab.

- Det er korrekt, at I-131 er et radioaktivt stof, men når det handler om så små mængder som i dette tilfælde, er det uproblematisk for mennesker, dyr og miljøet. Og det er ikke meget usædvanligt, at vi ser sådanne øgede niveauer, siger Steen Hoe.

Der er på Beredskabsstyrelsens og DTU’s avancerede filtermålestationer i Danmark ikke konstateret et forhøjet niveau af I-131.

Steen Hoe fortæller, at I-131 anvendes i sundhedssektoren, hvor stoffet bl.a. bruges i kræftbehandling.

Kilden til det forhøjede niveau af I-131 er ukendt.

Concerns Grow About A Nuclear "Incident" In Europe After Spike In Radioactive Iodine Levels


Concerns about a potential, and so far unsubstantiated, nuclear "incident", reportedly in the vicinity of the Arctic circle, spread in the past week after trace amounts of radioactive Iodine-131 of unknown origin were detected in January over large areas in Europe according to a report by the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety, the French national public expert in nuclear and radiological risks. Since the isotope has a half-life of only eight days, the detection is an indication of a rather recent release. As the Barents Observer adds, "where the radioactivity is coming from is still a mystery."

The air filter station at Svanhovd - located a few hundred meters from Norway’s border to Russia’s Kola Peninsula in the north - was the first to measure small amounts of the radioactive Ionide-131 in the second week of January. Shortly thereafter, the same Iodine-131 isotope was measured in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. Within the next two weeks, traces of radioactivity, although in tiny amounts, were measured in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Spain.

Norway was the first to measure the radioactivity, but France was the first to officially inform the public about it.

"Iodine-131 a radionuclide of anthropogenic origin, has recently been detected in tiny amounts in the ground-level atmosphere in Europe. The preliminary report states it was first found during week 2 of January 2017 in northern Norway. Iodine-131 was also detected in Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Spain, until the end of January", the official French Institute de Radioprotection et de Süreté Nucléaire (IRSN) wrote in a press release.

Premature babies in the United Kingdom now have unlikely companions to keep them company: Adorable, crocheted octupuses.
All premature babies in the NICU at Poole Hospital in Dorset, England will receive an 8-legged, cuddly companion to keep them company while they work on getting strong enough to live and breathe on their own.

Research from Denmark claims that toy octopuses help premature babies, because squeezing their tentacles led to better breathing (which in turn leads to better oxygen levels and more regular heartbeats).
“One of the nurses brought in the octopus and explained about the idea. The girls absolutely love them. When they are asleep they hold onto the tentacles tightly,” said Kat Smith, whose premature twins Jasmine and Amber are currently in the hospital. “Normally they would be in the womb and would play with the umbilical cord so the octopuses make them feel grounded and safe. They really are beautiful.”

If you want to help, you can make octopuses yourself to send to the newborn babies.

You can find the octopus pattern here. Just be sure the tentacles aren’t more than 8.6 inches long, and that they’re made from 100% cotton. Then you can send them to the maternity ward at Poole Hospital and help some beautiful babies. 
The Danish 87-year-old Agnes Wagner, has dedicated her spare time to crochet octos to the country's hospitals.

Samsung Warns Customers Not to Discuss Personal Information In Front of Smart TVs

Samsung has confirmed that its “smart TV” sets are listening to customers’ every word, and the company is warning customers not to speak about personal information while near the TV sets.


The company revealed that the voice activation feature on its smart TVs will capture all nearby conversations.

The TV sets can share the information, including sensitive data, with Samsung as well as third-party services.

The news comes after Shane Harris at The Daily Beast pointed out a troubling line in Samsung’s privacy policy:

På et landområde på Langeland mødes en gruppe iført nazi-uniformer i disse dage for at øve skuespil om 2. verdenskrig. Det møder kritik.


- Jeg kan ikke se andet end, at de har klare sympatier for nazismen, siger Bent Melchior til TV 2.

Den 87-årige Bent Melchior, som er tidligere overrabbiner, reagerer på et TV 2-indslag om gruppen Generalstab Nord.

Gruppen mødes regelmæssigt en gang om måneden iklædt nazi-uniformer for at øve scener og situationer fra Anden Verdenskrig, som kan bruges i film, teater og i arrangementer på museer. For eksempel soldatermarch, vagttjeneste og skrivebordsarbejde. De opholder sig i et hus blandt billeder af Adolf Hitler og nazistiske symboler.

A Region On Mars With Recent Water Is About To Get Major Attention

Researcher Dr. Mary Bourke from Trinity College Dublin have discovered a patch of land in an ancient valley in Mars’ Lucaya Crater that appears to have held water in the not-too-distant past, making it a prime target to search for past life forms on the Red Planet. Signs of water past and present pop up everywhere on Mars from now-dry, wriggly riverbeds snaking across arid plains to water ice exposed at the poles during the Martian summer.

A valley lined with sand dunes crosses the southern floor of the 21-mile-wide Lucaya Crater, located at latitude 11° south and longitude 52° east on Mars. Striations found between the dunes may have been created by recent water flows. The box shows the area pictured in the close up above. On Earth, Bourke had done previous studies of dunes in the Namib Desert near Walvis Bay, Namibia and noted “arctuate striations” — crusty arcs of sand cemented by water and minerals — on the surfaces of migrating sand dunes using photos taken by satellite. She subsequently assembled a team to check them out on the ground and discovered that the striations resulted when dune materials had been chemically cemented by salts left behind by evaporating groundwater.

“On Earth, desert dune fields are periodically flooded by water in areas of fluctuating groundwater, and where lakes, rivers and coasts are found in proximity,” said Bourke. These periodic floods leave tell-tale patterns behind them.” Once the material had been cemented, it hardens and remains behind as the dunes continue to migrate downwind.

Compare these cemented arctuate striations between dunes near Walvis Bay, Namibia with those in Lucaya Crater’s valley in the earlier image. White arrows highlight particularly prominent examples.
