Millennials blaming their parents is a popular theme among the generation, but is another version of victim consciousness. The victim, savior, villain complex is deeply ingrained in the human race through Hollywood and each other.

FREE GUY: To add some value with my own personal experience on SoTW. A few months ago my sister blamed my mom and dad, that they didn't force her into a better education like her 3 children (all of them went into gymnasium 3-year general academically-oriented upper secondary programme). But like my mom told her, she had her own free choice after 9th grade public school to become a cook and that she was all abt kicks-and-giggles (boys hunting and partying) and not serious about anything. Today she's taken a tough HD in Organization and Management to become a better leader but still blame them for neglectful parenting and she feels like dumbed-down. I also blamed my parents in my younger years, my mom used to tell me; 'a mother knows everything.' And when i became 9-10 years of age, and awake and aware, I understood, she was so wrong... |
