Danish Journalist Iben Thranholm, who was branded as a Russian propagandist and included on an EU blacklist for comments she made on migrant policy, tells RT that such character assassinations have become the new go-to tactic of Western governments.

Thranholm is a Danish current events columnist who penned an opinion piece for Russia Insider in 2016, in which she explained her reservations about the EU’s current migrant policy and its inability to properly integrate Muslim migrants into European society.

She had also written a piece for RT earlier in which she explained how the “spiritual vacuum” created by Western cultural nihilism is the core factor behind growing Muslim radicalization within the EU.

We have been covering the shortcomings of what is rightly called the War On Cash here at TDV for a while now and have shown just how negative the effects can be on an unsuspecting nation's people.

Chandigarh, India, which is the capital of the northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, is like one of India's labrats. Indian officials are working hard toward making it into India's first cashless city.

This initiative is part of the Prime Minister of India's call for state governments to begin developing what he's calling "smart" cities.

That means cities attached to the latest internet technology. However there is nothing intelligent about his plan.

One of the major changes being made to work toward that objective was the insistence of having all bills paid electronically at government offices within the city.

Similarly, in Panjim, the capital of Goa, India, the local government is attempting to incentivize the locals into paying digitally by offering them discounts on train tickets and other public transportation services if they pay electronically.

‘We are go’: Moon mining firm raises enough money for maiden flight 

A Silicon Valley-based company hoping to one day extract the Moon’s natural resources has raised enough money to fund its mission to the space rock.

Moon Express has reportedly brought its total funding to $45 million and could soon prepare a launch of its MX-1E lunar lander.

Real-life Death Star hopes dashed as galactic feast theory debunks ‘alien megastructure’

The supposed ‘alien megastructure’ first spotted in the skies back in 2015 may actually be a colossal planet-eating star, according to researchers from Columbia and Berkeley.

Comparisons of recent observations of star KIC 846285, or ‘Tabby’s star’, and old photographic plates showed that its light had dimmed sporadically in the years between 1890 and 2015.

The research generated a multitude of theories to explain the unusual flickering: cosmic dust, a swarm of comets and, most memorably, an alien megastructure.

'Very quickly, very nearby': Jumbo asteroid has close shave with Earth  

An asteroid between 11 to 34 meters across (36 to 111ft), roughly the size of 10 jumbo African elephants, made a remarkably close approach to Earth on Monday morning, passing by at a distance only half that of the Moon.

According to the Slooh Observatory, the space rock, dubbed 2017 AG13, was moving at about 10 miles per second, making it hard to spot with a telescope.
“This is moving very quickly, very nearby to us,” Eric Edelman, an astronomer with Slooh, said during a live broadcast of the surprise flyby at 7:47am ET on January 9.
