SoTW' certainly not lifting Izabela up to billionaire status while I scrape the bottom of the barrel in total survival mode. I prefer to think of it as a sharing-and-caring kinda deal 5D cosmic Robin Hood operation. Politikeres følelsesladede retorik og konstante fokus på kriser og fjendebilleder kan sammenlignes med en usund tarmflora. Den nedbryder gradvist vores mentale modstandskraft og skaber mistrivsel.

At stemme på en selvglad politiker er som at tage i mod en Royal Run-medalje, mens man har sprøjtende tyndskid: Det er svært at smile overlegent, når man mest af alt bare håber på, at målstregen og toilettet ligger tæt på hinanden.

Alle taler om empati i dag; LinkedIn flyder over med “empatisk ledelse”, men mange kan knap nok håndtere deres egen irritation i køen i Netto. Ægte empati handler ikke bare om at nikke alvorligt og sige “det må være hårdt”. 

Det handler om ærlighed, ydmyghed, tolerance, sensitivitet, taknemmelighed - og evnen til faktisk at mærke andre mennesker uden konstant at gøre alting til historien om “mig selv”. (Service-to-Self)

Det sjove er, at mange godt kan forstå følelser, når det handler om deres eget indre univers. Men sekundet de får ansvar, magt eller en lederrolle, går systemet ned som en Windows 95-computer med 37 faner åbne.

Mennesker, der har været i relationer med narcissister - på jobbet, i familien eller i parforhold - beskriver ofte oplevelsen som om noget inde i dem langsomt blev tømt ud. Ikke dramatisk Illuminati-Hollyweird-ondskab. Mere som følelsesmæssig Dropbox-tyveri over flere år.

For narcissister lever af følelsesmæssig energi. Opmærksomhed. Kontrol. Reaktioner. Konstant bekræftelse. Og langsomt begynder man at tvivle på sig selv, miste glæde, spontanitet og varme. Som en mobiltelefon med 2% batteri, der aldrig får lov at lade op.

Stress, frygt, depression og giftige miljøer gør præcis det samme. De stjæler livsenergi lidt efter lidt.

Og helt ærligt? Det føles lidt som at slippe ud af et energifængsel. For i mange miljøer handler overlevelse ikke om sandhed eller menneskelighed. Det handler om at følge flokken, smile de rigtige steder og aldrig udfordre illusionen i toppen af magtpyramiden... |
