Lad os bygge bro - ikke splittes - 19. Januar 2017

 


I en tid, hvor der mere end nogensinde er behov for, at vi insisterer på værdier som respekt for forskellighed, samarbejde og troen på en grøn, fredelig og retfærdig fremtid, er der blot fem dage til, at supermagten USA får en ny præsident, som blæser på netop det.

Det handler dog ikke kun om Donald Trump. Populistiske politikere, der skaber splid, og virksomhedsgiganter, der forurener, vinder frem, så længe folk er splittet. Derfor skal vi stå sammen med et stærkt budskab om solidaritet – i ord og handling. Lad os starte året i et fælles nytårsforsæt og love hinanden, at vi sammen og hver især vil forsvare vores frihed, lighed og knokle for at passe på vores fælles klode.

På fredag den 20. januar, hvor Trump indsættes, vil Greenpeace sammen med allierede mødes på broer over hele verden og sende et klart budskab om, at vi står op for hinanden og den verden, vi tror på. Jeg håber, at du vil være med. Her er nogle af de ting, du kan gøre for at bakke op:

DELTAG I MORGENEVENT: I København mødes vi kl. 8.00 foran den amerikanske ambassade. Varme drikke, musik, taler og et kæmpe, fælles håndtryk. Eventet afvikles i samarbejde med Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke. Se event her.

Fair bidragssats i alle medier

9.199 gange er ordet 'bidragssats' blevet nævnt i danske medier - både de trykte, TV, radio og især på nettet.

SIDEN SIDST: Hvad sker der lige nu i balladen om bidragssatserne?
Lige nu er Nykredit tvunget i defensiven. Igen. For 14 dage siden kom det frem, at BASEL IV ikke bliver gennemført, og det er det argument, Nykredit og Totalkredit har brugt allermest til at begrunde, at de måtte hæve bidragssatserne. Nykredits direktør Dan Sørensen påstod efterfølgende, at Nykredit aldrig havde brugt BASEL til at forklare stigningerne i bidragssats.
Berlingske Business brugte lidt kræfter på at finde massevis af dokumentation for det modsatte - ligesom vi i Fair Bidragssats har været på banen og anklage Nykredit for lodret løgn.
Desuden er kampen om pladser i repræsentantskabet for Nykredit spidset til - ikke mindst efter at Conusm og Fair Bidragssats har tonet fælles flag. Herefter har bestyrelsen for foreningen Nykredit selv stillet en gruppe op. Den kamp sker lige nu og afgøres i Nordjylland og på Fyn, når valgmøderne foregår i slutningen af februar.

Den 92-årige amerikanske ekspræsident George H.W. Bush er onsdag blevet overflyttet til intensivafdelingen – og nu er hans kone, Barbara, også blevet indlagt.

Det tidligere amerikanske førstepar er begge indlagt på hospitalet i Houston, Texas, skriver Associated Press.

George H.W. Bush blev indlagt på grund af vejrtrækningsproblemer, men hans tilstand blev betegnet som stabil. Efter et indgreb er han dog blevet overflyttet til intensivafdelingen til observation.

- Vejrtrækningsproblemerne skyldes lungebetændelse, oplyser familiens talsmand Jim McGrath i en udtalelse.

Ekspræsidentens hustru gennem syvårtier, 91-årige Barbara, blev indlagt onsdag. Det er sket ud fra et forsigtighedsprincip, da hun har oplevet træthed og hoste, lyder det.

Tabte til Clinton
Republikaneren George H.W. Bush var præsident fra 1989 til 1993. Han blev ikke genvalgt, da han tabte præsidentvalget til demokraten Bill Clinton.

Forinden var Bush chef for efterretningstjenesten CIA samt vicepræsident i otte år under præsident Ronald Reagan.

Hans ældste søn, George W. Bush, blev senere præsident og sad på posten fra 2001 til 2009. En anden søn, Jeb Bush, stillede op til det republikanske primærvalg i 2016, men han trak sig på grund af manglende opbakning.

Bush-ægteparret havde allerede meldt afbud til Donald Trumps indsættelse på fredag. Bush skrev til Trump, at læger har fortalt ham, at han risikerer at dø, hvis han begiver sig ud på den lange rejse.

- Barbara og jeg er kede af, at vi ikke kan deltage ved din indsættelsesceremoni. Min læge siger, at jeg ender 'six feet under', hvis jeg sidder uden for i januar. Det samme gælder Barbara. Så jeg tror vi er strandet i Texas, skriver han ifølge Politico.

Nevermind, on mission to explore space and the multiverse, disguised as mini-me, sending back billions in hard currency, to the Danish power elite, to keep them happy and occupied, instead of fighting over petty cash, as we do today. In the meanwhile, the rest of us, could live our lives in peace and prosperity.. )

The Central Intelligence Agency has published nearly 13 million pages of declassified files online, documents which previously were physically accessible only from four computer terminals at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland.

The record include info on Nazi war crimes, the Cuban Missile Crisis, UFO sightings, human telepathy ("Project Stargate") and much more. The release has been a long time coming: Bill Clinton first ordered all documents at least 25 years old with "historical value" to be declassified in 1995. The agency complied, however anyone who wanted access had to trek all the way to the US National Archives in Washington DC to get a peak.

In 2014, a nonprofit journalism organization called MuckRock filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit pressing the CIA to post all of its documents online, but the agency said it would take up to six years to scan everything according to engadget. At the same time, journalist Mike Best crowd-funded more than $15,000 to visit the archives to print out and then publicly upload the records, one by one, to apply pressure to the CIA. "By printing out and scanning the documents at CIA expense, I was able to begin making them freely available to the public and to give the agency a financial incentive to simply put the database online," Best wrote in a blog post.

"Access to this historically significant collection is no longer limited by geography," said Joseph Lambert, the CIA's information management director in a press release. The agency was aiming to publish the documents by the end of 2017, but finished the work ahead of schedule.

“We’ve been working on this for a very long time and this is one of the things I wanted to make sure got done before I left. Now you can access it from the comfort of your own home,” said outgoing CIA director of information Lambert. The agency continues to review documents for declassification, so the treasure trove has not been unearthed in full, and there’s definitely more to follow.

Hero Journalist Who Exposed CIA Infiltration and Manipulation of Media Found Dead (".. Ulfkotte’s death was allegedly the result of a heart attack. However, he was aware the possible repercussions that could come from what he was exposing. In an interview with Russia Insider, he said: “When I told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Ulfkotte’s newspaper) that I would publish the book, their lawyers sent me a letter threatening with all legal consequences if I would publish any names or secrets — but I don’t mind. You see, I don’t have children to take care of.” He knew he would face persecution from the state, and he did. Ulfkotte told RT that German prosecutors searched his house on at least six separate occasions. ")


Udo Ulfkotte, a brave, selfless, hero died on Friday at the age of 56. The legacy he leaves behind is one that gives context to today’s geopolitical relations between the United States and Russia.

Ulfkotte was a world-class German journalist, working for a major Germany newspaper, who came out and exposed how the mainstream media lies for the CIA.

In an interview with RT in October 2014, Ulfkotte explained the CIA’s practice of manipulation and bribery:

“I’ve been a journalist for about 25 years, and I was educated to lie, to betray, and not to tell the truth to the public.
“But seeing right now within the last months how the German and American media tries to bring war to the people in Europe, to bring war to Russia — this is a point of no return and I’m going to stand up and say it is not right what I have done in the past, to manipulate people, to make propaganda against Russia, and it is not right what my colleagues do and have done in the past because they are bribed to betray the people, not only in Germany, all over Europe.”

Ulfkotte also revealed that he was forced to publish the work of intelligence agencies under his name, and he was threatened with termination if he did not comply.

The main reason he said he came out was because the intelligence agencies were pushing disinformation in order to push for war between Europe and Russia.

This all brings us back to now, where we are seeing intelligence agencies and the mainstream media pushing for war with Russia, and clashing against Trump.

Ulfkotte also revealed the fact that there are mainstream media journalists who have been trained as CIA operatives, which is a topic WeAreChange has covered extensively over the years.

Also at the Church hearings, it was revealed that the CIA has developed a poison dart gun that “gives deadly heart attacks and leaves no trace.”

We don’t have all of the facts, and we don’t know exactly what happened to Ulfkotte, but we do know that he was a hero who put everything on the line in order for you to know the truth.
