NOW HEAR THIS: "Innocent naive danish taxpayers are going to pay additional 4.000.000.000 billion DKK annually in indirect subsidies for US tech giants for electricity consumption... Server farms and giant datacenters swallow incredible amounts of electricity for the thousands of computers running 24 hours a day. Since Facebook almost two years ago announced their construction of a server park at Odense, we have now reached a total of six major server park projects from respectively; Facebook, Google and Apple. At the same time, the expected electricity consumption has increased from about 1 TWh (1 billion kilowatt hours) to 11 TWh when the parks are fully developed. By comparison, the total of danish wind turbines last year produced a total of 14 TWh - and covered about 40% of Denmark's electricity consumption. Since Denmark, in the international context, has promised that our electricity production will be completely ""green"" in about 2040, these enormous additional consumption means that the already very large green electricity bill has now become much larger. At the same time, the way we in the future settle the PSO tax (so-called Public Service Obligation tariff for renewables away from electricity bills and to the national budget, via the tax) means that HUUUUGE additional price-jumps of the so-called "green electricity", must be paid by Mr and Mrs Jensen...
