VERMILLION PARISH (INTELLIHUB) — A teacher was pushed to the floor and handcuffed by a marshal for asking questions during a Louisiana school board meeting Monday night.
Deyshia Hargrave, an English teacher at Rene Rost Middle Schools, asked the board a few questions about teachers pay and her questions were answered — but after the teacher asked a second round a marshal escorted her out of the building in cuffs.
It is not yet known if the board ordered the teacher’s removal from the building or if the marshal took it upon himself to do so.
The board does not plan to press charges against the woman.
