[Except for the Venus and Pluto aspects at the end, all of the aspects mentioned here are in the attached composite chart for the New and Full Moons in May.]

Summary

Amid lingering inner and outer turbulence and fresh, new obstacles, a new space is opening for healing and progress.

Despite confused thoughts and feelings, mixed signals and conflicting expectations, there will be moments of clarity, communication and cooperation. Things will be accomplished.
We will be able to reconcile our rapidly evolving inner needs with the demands of our most important relationships. Supportive social networks will grow and strengthen.
Current planetary alignments hold great promise. For all the turbulence and confusion, we are moving into promising new territory. Just maybe not as smoothly or as quickly as we expected based on memories of the good ol' days. It’s time to stow your pessimism and expect better things.

The Astrological Backdrop

In astrology, there’s never just one thing going on. That's especially true nowadays.
In May, aftershocks from the exact Uranus/Pluto square and the recent eclipses, etc., are still rumbling through the across the landscape.

The Neptune/Chiron/Nessus grouping in Pisces is still bringing old pain to the surface. A square to this group from Saturn continues to make us acknowledge error and look for deeper, better, truer answers.

The Upside

The Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus trine relationship in fire signs, in effect until August, is providing synchronicity and traction. But there’s another source of astrological support I have not yet mentioned.

More Upside

Saturn in Sagittarius, Pluto in Capricorn, Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Aries are forming a series of sextiles, semi-sextiles and trine relationships.
This sustained and sustaining bracelet of positive aspects will be in effect for years into the future.

These planets are capable of forming very difficult aspects, as we all know. For now, they are working together harmoniously. They are making new things possible, reducing friction, increasing momentum, and providing a broad, inclusive stream of positive synchronicity and constructive synergies. They will help us work around any difficult aspects that do come along.

While they are in effect, and whatever else might be going on, the gears of the world will mesh much more smoothly. Money will be spent. Things will be built. Laws will be passed. We will be able to implement long-term plans. I want to emphasize that all this will be true despite continuing outer turbulence and simmering inner turmoil.

Resistance to positive change will continue to weaken. Under this set of powerfully enabling and empowering aspects, the social, economic, legal and political backdrop of our lives will change for the better in innumerable ways.

The legal, economic, political and physical infrastructure for a new and very different world will come quietly into being. Businesses, communities, local, state and national governments and other large, agencies and organized groups will implement new long-term programs and policies. Transformative technologies will continue to come online. Nations will sign major new treaties. And so on.

A lot of it will happen while we aren’t paying attention, though. Regardless, our lives will steadily improve and spirits will lift.

We will need to adjust and update our assumptions. A lot of ideas we've considered true simply won't be true anymore.

Many things will no longer be done the way we are used to having them done. A lot of things will no longer be where we’re used to finding them.

The postal service, for example, might move a postal station from downtown, where it was in easy walking distance, to a less convenient location that requires a drive or a bus trip. But by the same token, new, convenient services could spring up nearby.

We can count on the Saturn/Neptune square to help expose and lessen the abuse of these great energies.

Last Month

The astrological complexity and energetic turbulence of late March was extreme, even by current standards. It was a fitting climax to a difficult time.

Inwardly, April’s demanding vibes motivated us to align our personality with our highest aspirations. Outwardly, they motivated us to align our relationships, our work lives and our material resources with our inner evolution and cherished aspirations.

But there was progress, even as mental and emotional cross-currents clashed and merged in our individual and collective unconscious. Despite confusion and lingering turbulence all around, we moved forward. We might sometimes still have been too shaken by the events of recent months to take note, but things got noticeably easier.

May 2015

May will continue April’s progress and carry us further into the clear.

Sorting It All Out, Big Plans and Due Diligence

Neptune, Saturn, Mars and Mercury participate in a T-Square.

Mixed emotions, confusion, impatience, and vacillating moods will continue interfering with our plans. We’ll need to resist the urge to act impatiently and impulsively. But we will reach out and connect, there will be choices and room to maneuver. There will be measurable progress.

Wrestling with The Ego

Chiron is conjunct Vesta in Pisces and sextile Pluto in Capricorn. All are inconjunct the Moon and Jupiter in Leo. Jupiter is closely conjunct Juno. Together, these bodies form a Yod-like structure.

Yods produce incremental realization and change. They work through repetition, by raising the same issues until we finally get them right. Expect a gradual but essentially positive transformation of your life conditions. Old wounds will heal as we finally understand and accept change and make long needed adjustments.

Spiritually and psychologically, we’ll need to rethink who we are and what we are about on an almost daily basis, even as we formulate and reformulate our plans and expectations. It will be especially important that we double check our facts and then check them again as we proceed.

Juno governs life partnerships. Juno’s participation in this Yod means that the transformative process will spill over into our marriages or other close life partnerships. Long-simmering relationship issues will come up for consideration again, and, again, and move incrementally toward resolution.

The Chiron/Vesta conjunction in this Yod ensures that we will look beyond narrowly defined personal interests. Our deliberations will be influenced throughout by an intense concern for our personal ideals, religious principles and spiritual aspirations.

The Spirit of Adventure

The Sun in Taurus, Pluto in Capricorn and Chiron and Vesta in Pisces form a fairly exact triangle.

This motivating and empowering influence will tip the balance in favor of action. It will override inner and outer resistance, eliminating obstacles and making us eager to move forward.

Our ideals and our spiritual commitments will shape our motivation. Waves of contagious enthusiasm will drive us and those around us to finally act.

Action and Deliberation

This triangle is connected to the Yod. The overall effect is subtle and complicated, but important because it is characteristic of the current cycle. It is just one of the many influences in this and other recent charts that predict a combination of deliberate action accompanied and sustained deliberation.

Dovetailing

The Sun in Taurus will trine Pluto retrograde in Capricorn on May 6th

This powerful and beneficial aspect will allow us to reconcile competing priorities and conflicting interests. It will help us bring them into harmony with our plans, expectations and aspirations. However, Pluto is retrograde and this realignment will be completed slowly and probably after a delay. We'll be playing catch up for awhile.

Inner Healing and Closer, More Fulfilling Relationships and Growing Support Networks

Venus in Cancer trines Nessus in Pisces on May 10th.
Venus trines Neptune on May 16th.
Venus trines Chiron on May 27th.

In May, Venus will make a series of trines to the trio in Pisces that has been pushing hard truths and difficult thoughts and emotions into consciousness. The resulting mental and emotional turmoil weighed on our most important relationships. Conversely, our important relationships have interfered with our efforts to heal and grow.

This series of Venus trines will allow us to reconcile our need for healing and growth with the demands of our closest relationships. They will help us express our love in ways that safeguard our inner freedoms and priorities. Conversely, they will allow us to express our inner freedom and pursue our spiritual priorities in a way that supports our closest and most important bonds.

This benevolent influence will also have a more general affect. All relationships will benefit. But perhaps most important, it will encourage and support the restoration and growth of personal support networks, which have frayed badly in recent times.

2. From Astrologer Robert Phoenix….
Venus In Gemini Equals Polarization In Baltimore And The Long, Hot Summer
Posted by: admin in Astrology, Awakening Dreamers, Barack Obama, tags: Baltimore, Freddie Gray, Neptune in Pisces, Saturn In Sag, Venus In GeminI
"WE’RE ALL BEING PLAYED. . . The key to it all is to not react. Observe, deconstruct, watch your own pain and even prejudice, no matter what color or creed you are. If you can manage that, you might be able to see that we’re all in this together and have a chance at busting the matrix of manipulation, as one."

What happens when you mix black and white? You get Gray.

In Baltimore, under the last degrees of Venus in Gemini, the poles of duality finally clash and the result is Gray, as in Freddie Gray. I can almost set my calendar to this social kindling, the bonfires of the ignorant and sleeping.

All hell broke loose on the 25th of April, Sun in early Taurus, fixed, stubborn and determined. Venus was in the second Decan, Libra, which is, the scales of justice. It’s now in the third Decan, Aquarius and the drama is getting played out on social media, the vox populi of the Aquarian Age. What’s quite revealing in that realm is that there are links between activists and all around professional shit disturbers that connect Ferguson and Baltimore.

These are hired guns, employed to fan the flames of social unrest higher and higher. Keep in mind that Fox News broke the story, and they have their own agenda, but it’s worth looking into. This shouldn’t surprise anyone as these the methods were devised by Saul Alinsky in “Rules For Radicals.” None of this is bringing us closer together and that my dear readers is the point.

On the 25th, when Venus in Gemini was at 15 degrees, Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake ordered police to stand down and even stated, early Monday that police were instructed to allow “those who wished to destroy space to do that.” Of course, in a truly embarrassing fashion, Rawlings-Blake went back on that statement and boldly claimed that she never said it, while there she is, clear as day, on TV and social media playing the video over and over again. “Cognitive Dissonance” a concept developed by the radical acolyte, Frantz Fanon was in full effect.

Ironically, the Sabian Symbol for 15 Gemini is the following; “A Woman Activist In An Emotional Speech Dramatizing Her Cause.” Sometimes you just can’t make these things up.

I have been writing and speaking about this on my show for the past few years. I could see it coming as far back as the Super Bowl in New Orleans, when Jim Harbaugh’s team played against John Harbaugh’s team in the deep of south, under the sign of Aquarius, brother against brother. It’s not going away anytime soon. Harry Belafonte isn’t going to show up on the streets of Baltimore, or Philly or Oakland, breaking out the guitar and a little “Kumbaya.” Nope. And the worst part of it is, is that there are people in power that are exploiting real anger and real issues and directing it towards not just the police (more about them later) but the soft underbelly of America, the white middle class. It’s a brilliant use of subversive misdirection, assigning blame elsewhere. Let’s take a clear look at the facts.

In the 1960’s America fought a war in Indochina, not to stem communism from encroaching into Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, but to take over the opium trade from the French in the “Golden Triangle” while creating enough social strife at home, to fuel the divide and conquer checkerboard of the sixties. The war became the ideological great divide in the US. It was a perfect chasm/schism. If you were against the war, you were likely for, feminism, civil rights, drugs, freedom of self-expression and some form of social tolerance. If you were for the war, you were likely against those social movements, especially when the anti-war movement got taken over by radicals, such as the Weather Underground, who advocated and participated in killing innocent Americans, because in their minds, during a war, their war, not the one in Vietnam, there are no innocent victims.

Dave McGowan has written at length about how the 60’s were hijacked, due in large part to the aggressive takeover of the anti-war movement by the hairy, smelly, angry, radicals from the college professors and intellectuals who were not only against the war for moral reasons, but also constitutional. In a clear example of controlled opposition, the anti-war movement had been infiltrated, it’s leaders from wealthy families from Chicago’s north side, and Jewish intellectuals from merchant class and political families.

The third reason for the Vietnam War was feeding the beast of the military industrial complex. With the rise of technology, all sorts of new weapons, planes, equipment, etc., needed to be manufactured and deployed. That’s big bucks and guess what? American parts were also winding up in the hands of the North Vietnamese. They were making money both ways.

During the war, young, black males, many of whom were not in or able to attend a college for a deferment were shipped off to Nam, where they either died, were disabled, or were emotionally and mentally wrecked. When they came home, no one saw them as heroes or as patriots, as the anti-war movement only knew one emotion; “rage.”

The inner cities were nightmares in the late sixties and early seventies, graveyards of hopes and dreams, the left behind ruins of white flight, abandoning the cities for the synthetic dreams of the suburbs. Young, black mothers who had either lost a husband/father due to death, trauma or drugs had to often fend for themselves and the Federal Government, the new mack daddy in town was right there and ready to provide hand outs and government assistance, as the Welfare State was rocking and rolling, thanks to the likes of Lyndon Johnson, Saul Alinksy, Cloward-Piven and other mass manipulators who brilliantly gamed the system, one that they also had a hand in creating.

In essence, the 1960’s became a killing field for Black American families and they haven’t recovered. In fact, now, it’s even worse. The lower level or work entry jobs that were afforded them in the 1960’s and 70’s have been absconded by the immigrant/illegal class from south of the border and beyond. Prophetically, Booker T. Washington actually warned about this many years ago.

This has been a systematic attack on a group of people from a socio-economic level and I have no problem with the anger surrounding it, but fast forward and we’re all rowing in the same slave boat now, as the middle class dwindles away due to lost jobs, decayed values and a more subtle form of demoralization. The religious and spiritual values that served as a center at times mutated into the feel good of pop psychology and secular humanism, where morality has become subjective, and where in almost one day, that same mayor of Baltimore can call the rioters, “thugs and arsonists” and come right back the next day and re-frame her stance and them as simply, “misdirected youths.” There is no center anymore.

There’s a lot of Bull in the air and you can take that anyway you want, with three, inner planets in the sign of Taurus.

Baltimore won’t be the last event like this, this year. The Summer will undoubtedly be hot, they’ll crank that up, and the action will be hot as well.

3. From OM Times Astrologer Kathy Biehl
http://omtimes.com/2015/04/astrology-forecast-for-may-2015/

The astrology forecast for May says it is a month of emotional immersion and mental diversion. We’ll be exploring the extremes of both, sometimes pinging back and forth between them, sometimes finding ourselves in both at once. The peculiar mix sends us, by month’s end, into a spa for the soul, where the waters pour out love and acceptance of the self.

No matter how dark the first days may feel, remember that a therapeutic process is at work. Unpleasant thoughts, fears and impulses fly through minds and out of mouths during the long weekend that launches the month. The Scorpio Full Moon (on May 3-4) is normally a trigger for the darker side of emotional experiences. This year’s model comes with a jumble of uncomfortable influences that produce frustration, roadblocks, resistance, more inner growth (great, right?) and all manner of emotional backwash coming off the last two months.

A personality disintegration may be in store for some of us. If one happens in front of (or to) you, let it flow out, even if it scares you. Putting up a front and soldiering on has been exhausting; falling apart, or acting like a squalling infant, or simply admitting to yourself how you feel all lead to relief and a huge personal growth spurt, and sooner than you might dare hope.

Once the moon and its aftermath are behind us, the rest of the month is a blend of water and air, emotions and intellect, focus on nurturing and multitasking like demons. Social interactions take on a clucking, nesting, “let me feed you” tint as Venus, ruler of relationships, money and creativity, moves into home-loving Cancer on the 7th. Don’t be fooled by the apron, though. While she’s baking cookies, fluffing pillows and kissing boo-boos, she’s looking at the long haul (including in cold financial terms) and waiting for the tables to turn and someone to take care of her.

Ambivalence kicks in quickly, though, with her armored knight Mars lifting off into Gemini on the 11th. Part of us wants to stay in the kitchen licking the beaters, while another part wants to go outside and play with pals. Energy lightens and speeds up; our drive and motivation zoom this way and that, chasing after information in conversations and online, running errands with abandon, and juggling more tasks in a day than we had the inclination to deal with in a week during the winter.

Astrology for the Soul April 21, 2015

I am no longer afraid,
To call a spade a spade,
And get all the cards on the table,
To co-create a better way.
The key words for this week's Mercury/Mars conjunction are "Delicate Negotiations," as in, try as hard as you can to keep them delicate haha! Merc/Mars wants to jump in there like a laser beam and with little patience and possibly some resentment or anger, go straight for the jugular! So the down side is that you can do damage with your words this week or receive some harsh words coming at you. The upside is that it gets the yuck outa' there! It is time to share some of your personal values or some subjective needs/wants and now you are more capable of pushing through your fears and actually "fessing up." It may not be comfortable but it is good to be clear about where you stand and where everyone else stands (and needs) to move into the future without doubts, questions and secret agendas that can come back to bite. So if you can remain tactful and truthful this can be a good housekeeping week! Practice, practice practice haha!1
