USA Today: China calls for new global currency - January 15, 2015

BEIJING By Joe Mcdonald, AP Business Writer

China is calling for a global currency to replace the dominant dollar, showing a growing assertiveness on revamping the world economy ahead of next week's London summit on the financial crisis.

The surprise proposal by Beijing's central bank governor reflects unease about its vast holdings of U.S. government bonds and adds to Chinese pressure to overhaul a global financial system dominated by the dollar and Western governments. Both the United States and the European Union brushed off the idea.


The world economic crisis shows the "inherent vulnerabilities and systemic risks in the existing international monetary system," Gov. Zhou Xiaochuan said in an essay released Monday by the bank. He recommended creating a currency made up of a basket of global currencies and controlled by the International Monetary Fund and said it would help "to achieve the objective of safeguarding global economic and financial stability."

Zhou did not mention the dollar by name. But in an unusual step, the essay was published in both Chinese and English, making clear it was meant for a foreign audience.

China has long been uneasy about relying on the dollar for the bulk of its trade and to store foreign reserves. Premier Wen Jiabao publicly appealed to Washington this month to avoid any response to the crisis that might weaken the dollar and the value of Beijing's estimated $1 trillion in Treasuries and other U.S. government debt.

For decades, the dollar has been the world's most widely used currency. Many governments hold a large portion of their reserves in dollars. Crude oil and many commodities are priced in dollars. Business deals around the world are done in dollars.

But the financial crisis has highlighted how America's economic problems — and by extension the dollar — can wreak havoc on nations around the world. China is in a bind. To keep the value of its currency steady — some say undervalued — the Chinese government has to recycle its huge trade surpluses, and the biggest, most liquid option for investing them is U.S. government debt.

To better insulate countries from the ills of one country or one currency, Zhou said the IMF should create a "reserve currency" based on shares in the body held by its 185 member nations, known as special drawing rights, or SDRs.

Thirty years ago, when I first wrote about the mind-body connection, there was convincing research about the benefits of daily meditation. It steadily entered people’s minds that they could expect good things to happen to them, from physical effects like lower blood pressure to mental effects like a sense of inner peace. Today, these positive effects have expanded many times over. It’s fair to say that meditation is the key to personal transformation.

But when you sit down for your first meditation, please don’t expect anything to happen. This seems like a paradox to many people. We are accustomed to having expectations. In fact, it’s almost impossible to do without them—we expect to be loved in our relationships, to trust our friends, to feel safe in our homes. Meditation, however, should be approached differently. It’s like a blind date with yourself, in that you will encounter your mind wherever it happens to be.

The most common way that people set themselves up for disappointment is by assuming in advance that they know how meditation works. For example, they have heard that meditation makes the mind silent, and when they don’t get this effect, when their meditation seems filled with random thoughts, they feel let down. Either they think they have failed or they think, “Meditation doesn’t work for me.” Neither is true in the vast majority of cases.

So glad to be back here on Golden Age of Gaia on this glorious Monday …let’s start off this week with some real fun: Extraterrestrials!

Wowie zowie …I am so stoked!! I’m elated and giddy as the rush of energy and excitement pulses through my Being, because I get to share this fascinatingly amazing article with you! Some of us can feel it in our bones how close we are to unprecedented changes, and evidence of such is all around us …if you can see the bigger picture.

For example, Congress passed a historic law four weeks ago effectively removing the power and funding of our federal government to prosecute medical marijuana cases of accused individuals residing in legal states. Other unprecedented events involve the public-at large not trusting our government instead of just the “conspiracy theorists”; standing up to our governments and not rolling over through protests and the like; and whistle blowers around the world coming forth with ground-shattering news exposing scandals of the highest nature, such as Edward Snowden and the NSA or Karen Hudes of World Bank.

Yet, many folks remain unconvinced and eternally unswayable of so many truths. And guess, what: That’s okay! Many many many years I’ve spent, personally and professionally –to my own detriment– trying to convince people of certain realities of which they will never believe. I will not do that anymore, not only for my own health and proper boundaries, but to honor them and their chosen path.

In 100 years from now (actually, I think it’s more like ten, at the most), I believe we’ll all be laughing at our ignorance and closed-mindedness of the existence of ETs and other such concepts like Hollow Earth. Just like visionaries proclaimed Lady Gaia is round, in the face of the then-contemporary world-wide belief that She was flat …so too we’ll come to learn that our space family and Inner Earth Agarthan cousins are most real –when our collective consciousness is ready for such Truths.

Sananda: Yucatán Activations, Anchoring and Preparation for The New Atlantis January 14, 2015

It is I, Sananda.

I am eager to talk with you about the profound shifts taking place on the planet at this time. Things are really starting to move, and I want to give you a picture of what we see from our vantage point here on the ships.

As some of you already know, I accompanied our three Masters, Marlène, Kathryn and Mary, on their journey to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico this past week. My brothers Ashtar and Raphael were there for the trip too, and the six of us worked together, creating a smooth connection and a powerful energy resource. We combined energies with the Divine Feminine beings on the ground, linking our Galactic essences to humankind through the powerful rainbow bridge, above and below, as you might say, and as we did that, the women anchored our combined power deeply into Mother Terra.

This energy connection was created at each of the sacred Mayan sites we visited across the Yucatán, and so the sites themselves were reactivated and reconnected, revitalized and brought to the present moment in their full power. It was as if the power of the Mayan people of ancient times, who were so close to God and to their Earthly beginnings, was reborn. The result was, literally, Earth-shaking. The rumblings and stretching of Mother Terra herself is being felt across the globe, as she expands to accept the increasing Light.

Part of the profound shift in energies was created by the conscious recognition on the part of Marlène, who was originally asked to organize this trip, of the mission to connect Galactic, Human and Inner Earth forces to create a sense of One. In addition to that, the awareness of the women that there were other energies that needed to be addressed added to the clearing and healing. This released thousands of years of pent-up energies, to now be used as part of the flow of Light that will anchor 5th dimensional energies and sustain the changes moving into the Golden Age.

Let me explain. Each of the women was sensitive to the ebb and flow of energies in slightly different ways, according to their special gifts and training. Marlène feels the Galactic influence strongly, and is able to envision and direct our cosmic higher dimensional energies to establish and expand permanent portals from the planet to our Heavenly dimensions. Kathryn feels the strong presence of humans who have gone before and will come after and is able to clear the injuries and oppression that have left such dark energies within the surface - literally in the soil, the rocks and the air you breathe and the thoughts you are thinking. Mary feels strong connections with flora, fauna, and the Cetacean Nation. She is able to hear the sounds of the ancients who came before, and to feel the urgings of their souls yearning for freedom and healing.

GIC: Levels of Human Consciousness - January 14, 2015

In the book Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins, there’s a hierarchy of levels of human consciousness. It’s an interesting paradigm. If you read the book, it’s also fairly easy to figure out where you fall on this hierarchy based on your current life situation.

From low to high, the levels of consciousness are: shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace, enlightenment.

While we can pop in and out of different levels at various times, usually there’s a predominant “normal” state for us. If you’re reading this blog, chances are you’re at least at the level of courage because if you were at a lower level, you’d likely have no conscious interest in personal growth.

I’ll go over these levels in order, mostly focusing on the ones between courage and reason, since that’s the range where you’re most likely to land. The labels are Hawkins’. The descriptions of each level are based on Hawkins’ descriptions but blended with my own thoughts. Hawkins defines this as a logarithmic scale, so there are far fewer people at the higher levels than at the lower ones. An increase from one level to another will result in enormous change in your life.

Shame – Just a step above death. You’re probably contemplating suicide at this level. Either that or you’re a serial killer. Think of this as self-directed hatred.

Guilt – A step above shame, but you still may be having thoughts of suicide. You think of yourself as a sinner, unable to forgive yourself for past transgressions.

Apathy – Feeling hopeless or victimized. The state of learned helplessness. Many homeless people are stuck here.

Grief – A state of perpetual sadness and loss. You might drop down here after losing a loved one. Depression. Still higher than apathy, since you’re beginning to escape the numbness.
