Spiritual Insights June 2018
I just returned from the UAC conference (United Astrology Conference) in Chicago which was the biggest and most successful conference ever! It all began in 1986, and I am proud to say that I was there. It is the largest international astrology conference in the world, and it is held about every four years. Astrologers from around the world converged with different systems, theories, and cultures. We all came together sharing ideas in unison, merging beliefs and philosophies. It was exciting to see so many new faces at this astrological conference! The young generations are finally coming on board to carry the torch as astrologers.
At the awards banquet, they gave the well-deserved awards to those in our astrological community who have diligently worked to make astrology a legitimate profession. Steven Forrest won the Regulus award for UAC 2018. In his acceptance speech, he refenced that 25 years ago, the thing he dreaded most was family gatherings where everyone was asked about their profession. As many proudly gave titles as doctors, lawyers and CEOs, he announced “astrologer”. He was embarrassed and belittled, “a what?” We’ve all had this experience, and as Forrest said, we now can proudly announce with confidence that we are astrologers and receive immediate validation and credibility. Our profession is finally making a comeback, and we are receiving the respect we deserve for our hard work and years of dedication to the study of astrology. I hope to attend many more UAC conferences as we continue to grow our astrological family with those from around the world.
These conferences take a group effort, and I want to thank everyone involved. It is such a great opportunity to share in old and new friendships with the common bond of learning and teaching astrology. It was truly a wonderful experience!

As we approach the coming intense eclipses in July it feels like we are getting ready for inevitable doom. What are we about to experience? It feels a bit scary and frightening! A month before and after the eclipses, major events occur that entice fear around the world. These eclipses are especially potent as Mars is the trigger. The total lunar eclipse is conjunct Mars and Ketu within a few degrees on July 27th. The effects are magnified with Mars turning retrograde June 26th.
Rahu transiting in Cancer will surface insecurity since Cancer is the sign of security and the opposite sign Capricorn involves government. We are feeling much more vulnerable especially in the area of cyberspace and safety. But even on a personal level, we are questioning our existence.
There is a cardinal cross involving Mars/Ketu, Venus/Rahu and Uranus/Jupiter. Uranus and Jupiter are in opposition both squaring Mars/Ketu and Venus/Rahu. This manifests intense energy where unexpected events will begin to play out this month.
