Folkets Avis | 18. August 2017 | DF og V vil have DR's bestyrelsesformand til at trække sig – hvorfor tøver Liberal Alliance? Nu truer Socialdemokraterne igen med Rigsrevisionen – DR-ledelsen må da grine røven i laser | .. Liberal Alliance plejer at være strammere, når det gælder misbrug af penge i det offentlige system. Hvorfor vil man så ikke sætte formanden for Danmarks Radio på porten – på hans vagt har misbruget da været omfattende. Og de store partier i regeringen vil jo gerne. Rigsrevisionen har adskillige gange henstillet til DR om tilbageholdenhed i lønudvikling og andre spørgsmål – det har DR skidt højt og flot på. Hver gang .. |

Politik er fyldt med paradokser.

Og med egeninteresser. Og med alle mulige hensyn på kryds og tværs. Og med forhistorier. Og med vennetjenster. Og med ben som er blevet delt ud - eller skal deles ud i fremtiden.

Derfor er politik i praksis sjældent særligt principiel eller - for den sags skyld - helt nem at forudsige.

Mange undrer sig nok for tiden, hvor Liberal Alliance tilsyneladende holder en hånd over formanden for Danmarks Radios bestyrelse, selvom Danmarks Radio under hans formandskab har været en langt katastrofe af misbrug af licens-kroner.

Især undrer Liberal Alliances stædige insisteren på at lade DR-formanden fortsætte til medieforliget udløber, nu da regeringens store partier Dansk Folkeparti og Venstre med god grund udtrykker ønske om at få ham fjernet fra formandsposten.

Nu står Liberal Alliance lige pludselig ret alene i regeringen med ønsket om at frede formanden.... [LÆS VIDERE]

Der skal nok noget mere til end trusler om Rigsrevision før DR kommer ned fra den høje hest og retter ind under de regler som gælder for alle andre.

Stort set alle partier prøver lykken med DR-sagen om kulturminister Mette Bock og DR-bestyrelsesformand Michael Christiansen – og alle forsøger de at score billige politiske point ved at puste sig op og spille hårde.

Men Danmarks Radio har igen og igen under den nuværende formand Michael Christiansen vist at de er bedøvende ligeglade med trusler henstillinger fra folketingspolitikere. For det bliver jo altid ved truslerne.

Og Rigsrevisionen?

Helt ærligt. Danmarks Radio har fuldstændig set bort fra tidligere henstillinger fra denne impotente udsender af symbolpolitik.

An Elite city banker has killed himself at the London Stock Exchange

A high-level senior investment banker has leaped to his death from a 7th-floor balcony in the London Stock Exchange building.

The man jumped from a glass walkway of the British capital’s busy financial hub and landed in the front lobby at around 9.45am UK time.
He was pronounced dead at 10.10am shortly after police arrived, although it’s believed the fall would’ve killed him instantly.

Although he has yet to be named by police, workers described him a “one of the bigwigs”.

Wasserman Schultz, the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) who was forced to step down over Wikileaks revelations that she worked against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign in favor of Hillary Clinton, fired Awan on July 25.
The indictment charges Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, 33, who also worked as a congressional IT aide, with making false statements on an application to obtain home equity lines of credit on two properties they rented out. Spanish police have killed several additional suspects near Barcelona in response to another possible terrorist attack.

Details on the incident are scant but follow an afternoon vehicular terrorist attack in the middle of Barcelona on a heavily populated tourist area. The attack killed 13 civilians and injured nearly 100 others, with some wounded civilians in critical condition.

Like so many other 'terror attacks' in recent european cities, Las Ramblas was a popular area for tourists as well as the city's own inhabitants. The attack is set in close proximity to Plaça de Catalunya..
