Time for Russia & Vietnam to think of switching to local currencies – Medvedev - April 7, 2015 CET
Russia and Vietnam should start using their domestic currencies in bilateral trade more actively , Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said.
“Certainly, it’s necessary to think of using non-standard forms of cooperation and financial interaction, including, for example, settlements in local currencies, rubles and dongs,” Medvedev said during a meeting with businessmen in Vietnam’s largest city of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon.

The prime minister recalled that Russia had a similar experience with other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and that 10 years ago the Vietnamese-Russian bank was created.
"We should think how to boost the work of the bank", Medevedev said.
Proposals for the transition to national currencies in trade between Russia and Vietnam should be ready in May, Andrey Kostin, the CEO of Russia’s second biggest bank, VTB, said in Vietnam.
On Monday, Medvedev said that a free trade zone deal with the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union was in the “home stretch,” adding that the final deal is expected to be signed by July.
The prime minister stressed that the draft document included significant preferences for Vietnam.
Medvedev has been in Vietnam since Monday, when he began a two-day official state visit to the country.
The two sides confirmed their plans to boost bilateral trade in the next five years to $10 billion. They also guaranteed the development of Vietnamese and Russian offshore oil and gas projects. On Monday, Russia’s Gazprom Neft and the Oil and Gas Corporation of Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire a 49 percent share of Vietnam’s Binh Son Refining and Petrochemicals. In total, Russia and Vietnam signed 17 priority projects for 2015 including the supply of equipment for Vietnamese power plants, construction and technology upgrades for enterprises and the creation of industrial clusters.

With the central banks now buying gold… which is quite unique… we haven’t seen that in our lifetimes… they’ve always been sellers of gold and now they’re buyers of gold… I think there will be a reset of the financial industry…
I think China is being allowed to accumulate gold purposefully by the American government… I believe that the Chinese need to own at least the same amount as the U.S. owns before this reset occurs. I think that there’s some kind of deal that’s being made between all the central banks behind the scenes and that’s why you’re seeing governments accumulating the metal.
I do believe there will be some kind of new currency created with the backing… and it might not be a direct backing of the metal… but it’ll be some kind of blend of currency.. it could be through SDR’s… Special Drawing Rights… or some type of mechanism… I think that’s where we’re going.
And when that reset occurs I think gold will be left to rise… and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see three…four… five thousand dollar gold over the next five years.

"Var til familiekomsammen i påsken. Som altid var alt tilrettelagt til mindste detajle, fantastisk mad og hygge i familiens skød. Det skal siges, jeg er så heldig, har de dejligste forældre og søster med børn og svoger man kunne tænke sig. Lutter idyl eller var det? Det observante øje, ville kunne ane, et stemningsbillede som måske stod i stærk kontrast med, dagens begivenhed. Min far som var fødselsdagsbarn, var lidt stresset over jeg måske kom lidt tidligt, og fik ødelagt hans vante power nap på gulvet, måske var det pga. alt ting skulle klappe til gæsterne kom. Ihvertfald følte jeg, den ekstra gave jeg kom med ikke fik så meget opmærksomhed, som ønsket, efter påtale, fik jeg en overhaling. Igennem dagens program, følte min mor, at min svoger var lidt sur eller bare sagte, min søster fik påtale fra sin mand, hun overdrev sin træning, jeg holdt mig heller ikke tilbage. Jeg har en fornemmelse, min søsters ekstreme træningsprogram, er for hende, en måde, at komme væk fra hverdagens stress og hjemmelige gøremål, og fremme hendes store sociale behov og selvtilfredstillelse (selvbillde). Min mor og far snerrede lidt af hinanden, jeg fik måske tilsidesat mine mors behov for udtrykke min egen meningsdannelse, vi taler i munden på hinanden, respektere ikke når der er en anden som taler, min søsters mindste tvillingedatter var meget sensitiv eftersom hun føler sig usikker og meget modtagelig for kritik og vi spillede Kongespillet var hun væk hurtigt efter en episode...og jeg kunne blive ved" Hverdags-udfordringer med vores familie." du kender det sikkert godt, ikk?

Running Out Of Accounting Gimmicks: EPS Addbacks Surge Most Since Lehman
Over the past month we have seen a veritable cornucopia of "worst since Lehman" announcements. And with 2015's first quarter earnings season about to be unleashed and lead to the first of at least three and likely more sequential Y/Y EPS declines in a row, we decided to give the "better than expected" Q4 earnings season - a season which would have been an absoolute disaster without the contribution of just one company - one last look. What we found was another indication that as we headed into year end we had, we just had another, you guessed it, "worse since Lehman" moment.
