🦈 ~ 💗 In Great Barrier Reef, Amazing Photos Captured of World’s ONLY Pink Manta Ray 💕 ~ | Blogger: Waaaauv!... During my first stay in the US, a looong time ago, as a exchange student, I ran into some folks from Germany, together with new friends and my danish travelpartner Jesper, we did a trip to Cape Cod dolphin & whale watching.. What was amazing... Later on, i actually completed my PADI Open Water Certification at Florida Keys, but never swimmed with dolphins or manta rays, but sharks, barracudas, sea urchin and not so friendly, morays... My dream has been and will always be, to swim with dolphins in open water and I almost went to Hawaii on a retreat last year, but incredible expensive, it is for me to travel that far... |


The rose-tinted manta ray is named Inspector Clouseau.

(TMU) — An underwater photographer has captured rare images of the world’s only known pink manta ray, dazzling online observers and marine biologists.

The rose-tinted manta ray is named Inspector Clouseau—in homage to the detective from the Pink Panther films—and is known to dwell near Lady Elliot Island in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.

Finnish photographer Kristian Laine was fortunate enough to get within touching distance of the rare creature, which was first spotted in 2015 by diving instructor Ryan Jeffery, reports Australian Geographic.(READ MORE)
