Sweden's security police is to join an emergency meeting on Friday after another apparent act of sabotage on a radio mast, just a day after an air traffic tech glitch grounded planes in Stockholm.
The suspected sabotage on another radio mast in Sweden comes just a day after Stockholm was forced to close its airspace for two hours after an apparent network glitch knocked out air traffic control radar.
It sparked concern in Sweden that it could be linked to the recent rogue destruction of a radio mast in Borås, as well as problems with Swedish railway operator SJ's booking system on Thursday afternoon.
Infrastructure Minister Anna Johansson would not speculate, but told media she would meet with officials to discuss possible links and that all possibilities would be considered until ruled out.
“It is entirely possible that they have occurred independently of one another within a short time frame. But we are clearly looking to see if there is a connection, that is also part of the follow-up,” she said.
