Occording to NASA, the transit of Mercury will start on November 11 at 7:35 a.m. EST (12:35 UTC). The entire event will take about 5 and a half hours, with the end at 1:04 p.m. EST (18:04 UTC) and the greatest transit at 10:19 a.m. EST (15:19 UTC). Skywatchers around the world will have plenty of time to catch the journey of Mercury.

The planet will look like a tiny dark spot moving across the disk of the Sun. Remember that looking directly at the Sun or through a telescope can cause serious eye damage. To see Mercury, use proper solar filters and safety equipment. A telescope with high magnification is recommended to watch the event in all its glory, as Mercury is very small when viewed from Earth. You can try a pair of high power binoculars too.

The last time the transit of Mercury occurred in 2016. This event takes place only about 13 times per century, so don't miss it. The times of contacts vary depending on the viewer location. Our astronomy app Star Walk 2 will help you determine the best viewing times for your location.

🏮 ~ Loy Krathong & Yi Peng on the same day : Full Moon Festivals, Thailand ~ | Blogger: Back here at my location, one of the many island of Thailand, several festivals is ongoing on sacred temples of today and tomorrow, 11:11, a (smaller) festival is taking place, near me... And no, it's not crazy party time at Ko Pha Ngan (i'm too old for that s***)... |

In 2019, Loy Krathong falls on Wednesday, November 13 (festival begins on November 11, ends on November 13). It is a light festival (or known as Thailand Lantern Festival) in Thailand on the full moon day in November. The festival is celebrated nationwide by releasing lotus-shaped baskets, decorated with candles and flowers onto the rivers. Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, and Bangkok are the best places to celebrate the festival while visiting the country. Planning your trip to Thailand well will have more fun!

Yi Peng, another light festival, is celebrated on the same day alongside Loy Krathong in Northern Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai. It is different in that lights are placed into sky lanterns. Swarms of sky lanterns, decorated with good luck wishes and prayers are released to the sky. Yi Peng usually starts 2 days earlier than Loy Krathong. In 2019, Yi Peng Festival will possibly be observed on November 11.

Most of you, at some time or another have experienced absolutely clarity in your lives. Your head and heart aligned. You knew what you wanted. Having passed the 2012 marker there is absolutely no way that anyone will be allowed to make changes to it. In the greater plan there are often Galactic considerations to be made as the result of your future actions are more far reaching than you might imagine.
