President Donald Trump is adding former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and two former federal prosecutors to his Russia legal team, a source familiar with the matter tells The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The husband-and-wife team of Martin and Jane Raskin are the two other attorneys to join Trump’s team, which is being led by Jay Sekulow. The Raskins, who operate a law firm in southern Florida, have worked in various U.S. attorney’s offices as well as at Justice Department headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The Daily Beast reported earlier Thursday that Giuliani, a longtime friend of Trump, has been in talks to join the president’s outside legal team. Trump has reportedly considered adding Giuliani to his administration, including as a possible replacement to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Trump has recently sought to beef up his legal team, especially since veteran criminal defense attorney John Dowd stepped down in March. Trump was close to hiring Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing, a husband-and-wife lawyer team who have been vocal defenders of Trump.

That plan fell through because diGenova and Toensing’s law firm represents several witnesses in the Russia investigation.
