Statoil har ændret navn - De glemte bare én vigtig detalje

Statoil har ændet navn til Circle K, men de er kommet til at lave én meget væsentlig fejl, som hele internettet griner af.

Som et led i en såkaldt rebranding, valgte Statoil at skifte navn i denne måned. Det betyder, at benzinstationen i dag hedder Circle K, men selvom navneskiftet skulle forbedre kædens image, så havde de glemt en hel væsentlig detalje.

En bruger på Reddit postede nemlig dette billede, og skrev 'Der er tydeligvis én, der ikke har tænkt det helt igennem.'

The documents represent roughly two-thirds of the latest negotiating text, according to Greenpeace, and on some topics offer for the first time the position of the United States.

Before Monday, elected representatives were only able to view such documents under guard, in a secure room, without access to expert consultation, while being forbidden from discussing the content with anyone else. This secrecy runs "counter to the democratic principles of both the EU and the U.S.," the website ttip-leaks.org declares.

And in the absence of transparency, "hard won environmental progress is being bartered away behind closed doors," said Faiza Oulahsen, campaigner for Greenpeace Netherlands.

"Whether you care about environmental issues, animal welfare, labor rights or internet privacy, you should be concerned about what is in these leaked documents," Oulahsen said. "They underline the strong objections civil society and millions of people around the world have voiced: TTIP is about a huge transfer of democratic power from people to big business. (NaturalNews) A former DARPA scientist who held a top security clearance has warned that transmissions from cell phone towers constitute a "terrorist act" against the civilian population.

Dr. Paul Batcho holds a PhD from Princeton University, and spent nearly three years working for DARPA at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the field of computational physics.

DARPA is the branch of the Department of Defense responsible for studying emergent military technologies.

While some of Batcho's claims are certainly controversial, his insistence that civilians are being harmed by cell phone towers is likely to be true. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies cell phone tower radiation as a "probable carcinogen."

Batcho has sent numerous letters to federal security agencies, including DARPA and the Department of Homeland Security, claiming that he has identified a "terrorist" threat from cellular towers "in central Florida, and Tampa St Petersburg."

"I seem to have stumbled across an advanced technology that I would classify as synthetic telepathy," he wrote in one such missive. "It clearly uses the cellular towers to transmit illegal signals. It sounds unbelievable but it is actual technology being used on civilians of the US.

MOSCOW/BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Russia will reinforce its western and southern flanks with three new divisions by the year-end, officials said on Wednesday, threatening retaliation to NATO's plans to boost its military presence in eastern members Poland and the Baltic States.

While Moscow accuses the Western alliance of threatening its Russia's security, NATO says intensified military drills and its plans for increased deployments on its eastern flank are purely defensive after Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea in 2014 and backed separatist rebels in Ukraine.

U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said on Monday NATO was weighing up rotating four battalions of troops through eastern member states amid rising tension in the Baltic.

Russia has scrambled jets to intercept U.S. reconnaissance planes in recent weeks and made simulated attack passes near a U.S. warship in the Baltic Sea.

Speaking in Brussels on Tuesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed the alliance would deploy "batallion-sized" multinational units on a rotational basis in the east.

Andrei Kelin, a department head at Russia's Foreign Ministry, said the proposed NATO deployment was a source of concern for Moscow. Russia once held sway in eastern Europe as the Soviet-era overlord.
