Mens flere amerikanske stater for nylig har legaliseret cannabis til medicinsk brug, og hampplantens medicinske potentiale bliver et stadig større diskussionsemne blandt forskere, har mange danskere taget sagen i egen hånd. Som tidligere beskrevet i Information selvmedicinerer syge mennesker sig i vidt omfang med cannabis, og enkelte er også begyndt illegalt at fremstille cannabisprodukter, som kunderne bruger til at behandle deres lidelser.

En af producenterne er 44-årige Mogens, der er udlært murer. For ham begyndte interessen for medicinsk cannabis for alvor for to år siden, da et familiemedlem fik konstateret tre kræftknuder i det ene bryst.
