- Two blazes, including the Tick fire, burned north of Los Angeles, forcing 50,000 residents to flee
- Meanwhile, a faulty electric transmission tower was found near where a wildfire ignited in Northern California
- The earlier 'Kincade fire' had started on Wednesday and consumed 1,000 acres by 11pm
- By Thursday morning, Cal Fire reported that the blaze near Geyserville had grown to about 10,000 acres
- Sonoma County Sheriff's Office confirmed that residents had to flee their homes overnight due to the blaze
- The National Weather Service says winds have been blowing at speeds up to 70mph in the Sonoma area
- Meanwhile, portions of Northern California remain in the dark after Pacific Gas & Electric cut power
- The outages should end in 48 hours, but a another planned blackout across a much larger area could come
