SPACE | Dec 14, 2017 | Discovery Recap: NASA, Google A.I. Find Alien Solar System Much Like Our Own | .. Scientists have discovered an eighth alien planet around a distant star using Google machine-learning and data from NASA's Kepler space telescope. The discovery is the first time an alien solar system with the same number of planets as our own has been found, scientists say. It's also the most alien planets found around another star. Our wrap story will be posted shortly. The alien planet is called Kepler-90i, a scorching hot planet that orbits its parent star Kepler-90 once every 14.4 days.
