Spiritual Insights March 2017
The recent eclipses have sent the world spiraling in mass confusion. I see the same reactions around the world pertaining to situations in every country. There are events affecting all of Europe whether it is Germany, France, England or Turkey to name a few. We are all going through deep feelings and issues. But most importantly it is affecting us all individually within.
As I reflected on what is occurring I realized what is happening. I see the events and feelings occurring now to be reminiscent of Elizabeth Kubler Ross’ 5 Stages of Death and Dying. The world is going through all these stages concerning their feelings of the recent political turmoil. I am feeling that we are probably around the 4th Stage of Depression.

- Denial – The first reaction is denial. In this stage individuals believe the diagnosis is somehow mistaken, and cling to a false, preferable reality.
- Anger – When the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue, they become frustrated, especially at proximate individuals. Certain psychological responses of a person undergoing this phase would be: "Why me? It's not fair!"
- Bargaining – The third stage involves the hope that the individual can avoid a cause of grief. Usually, the negotiation for an extended life is made in exchange for a reformed lifestyle.
- Depression – "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die soon, so what's the point?"
- Acceptance – "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it; I may as well prepare for it." In this last stage, individuals embrace mortality or inevitable future, or that of a loved one, or other tragic event.
Interestingly in Vedic astrology the three Moksha houses are relative to the water houses. Houses 4, 8 and 12 are the moksha houses and are relative to the three water signs, fourth sign Cancer, eighth sign Scorpio and the twelfth sign Pisces. The water signs are all about feelings and emotion. Therefore, this means in order to be liberated from this world we must heal our emotions. I believe in order to heal our emotions we must come to a point of acceptance.
Acceptance relates to the emotion of forgiveness, it is the release of any expectation, or attachments to the past. It is total freedom where we are no longer emotionally disturbed by the issues that used to affect us.
Getting outside of the emotional issues that we have all been dealing with lately lets us take a closer look at what is happening now in world affairs and the laws of nature. Everything happens for a reason and the laws of nature are always at work regardless of our emotional turmoil. The law of nature that you may refer to as the hand of God, is always working to bring balance. When things become too one sided the pendulum swings back the opposite way.
Relating this to the political turmoil occurring now you can see the change of tide from liberal concerns reverting back to conservatism. Things cannot always be one sided. Looking back there is always a change from side to side and this brings balance. As the Clinton’s rule brought the liberal views and needs into place they were later met with the conservatism of the rule of George W. Bush and from there emerged the liberal rule of Obama and now we are in the throes of the conservative ruling again. It is only a change and with this the world evolves. This has nothing to do with evil or injustice only the winds of change that are necessary for balance.
Astrologically speaking the recent solar eclipse that occurred February 26, is in effect for a while and will actually influence the entire year. This eclipse falls in the 3rd house of communications in the U.S. chart and the natal Moon is the same degree as transiting Ketu. This explains a lot! Since the 3rd house is the house of communications it rules over all forms of how we connect, internet, television, social media, YouTube and reporters. The issue of the media is what is at a crisis point.
In The U.S. chart the Moon is in Aquarius which is disposited by Saturn in the 10th house meaning this involves the leadership and government. Ketu is the indicator of loss and the Moon rules over the 8th house of change and transformation. This literally means there will be a massive change in how information is revealed concerning the government.
Furthermore, the eclipses occurring in the 3rd house means so much will be revealed out of the dark that had previously been hidden. Because Neptune is there much that is revealed is a part of secrets and many will not and cannot believe the truth.
Transits for March
The month of March Uranus is Ghandanta at the last degree of Pisces. This indicates drowning, which means there will be massive storms, floods and severe weather.
As Venus is retrograde most of this month the stock market will probably retract during this retrograde cycle. It can also indicate pass loves may reappear or at least past experiences and reminiscing of old feelings and memories.
Mars in Aries makes for aggressive and warlike attitudes and as it joins Mercury aggressive arguments may end friendships. Mercury the planet of communications is afflicted (severely harmed) by the aspect of both Mars and Rahu. All forms of communication are a problem worldwide. People are using all kinds of social media to attack each other. The world is in a major war of words.
This month re-frame from arguments and heal the issues that have caused the anger.
