• The man, believed to be in his 40s or 50s, slit his own throat with one of two blades he was seen wielding
• Witnesses described little girls covered in blood and police were later seen hosing down the road
• The atrocity coincides with President Donald Trump's state visit and he offered his 'prayers and sympathy'
